Pastoral Care TeamIris_in_Vase

A Pastoral Care team assists our clergy to meet the needs of our community by providing spiritual and emotional support, encouragement, friendship and a listening ear.

This also includes home and hospital visiting, assistance with various activities, meals, transport, and of course prayer.

Prayer Chainceltic_knot_ring

The Prayer Chain serves the parish and wider community in times of need. Many people have voiced their gratitude for the strength and support they have received.

Confidentiality and prompt response are assured. The prayer requests are not discussed, usually only first names are used in the message and we endeavour to pass the request right along the Chain within a few hours, in which time the situation is surrounded by praying people.

All the ‘links’ of the Prayer Chain meet together twice a year for coffee and to discuss and/or sort out any problems.

A list of these praying people is in each church and in the parish hall and all are willing to be contacted at any time.

For any further information, or if you feel you would like to participate, please contact Margaret Grummet via the Parish Office Phone 5985 1399
